The major part of my working life has been as a photographer. I was photographer at the auctioneer Sotheby's for a number of years, before following a freelance career working in the fine arts. I have been fortunate enough to take photos for many renowned artists, galleries and museums in the UK and worldwide, published in many catalogues, books and articles. But that was then...
I do a small amount of creative work for my own satisfaction. My particular area of interest is in making photos with minimum subject matter, almost abstract, with a high pictorial content. Pure photography, not photos of things (despite the picture above, which I included here because I like it).
Unsurprisingly, I do some theatre photography, as well as getting called upon to photograph village events!
